Compare / Head to head
Salesforce and HubSpot vs Zoho One
Depth in the funnel against breadth across the business, at very different prices. The shortlist usually means the buyer has not yet decided which problem they are solving.
Checked 1 September 2026
We are not a neutral party, and you should read this knowing that. Rutba makes software that competes with both products on this page, and there is a section about us at the bottom. Everything above it is written from what each vendor publishes about their own product, dated, with no prices reproduced and nothing said about anyone’s roadmap, finances or customers. If we have described either product incorrectly, tell us and we will correct it and say that we did.
The actual decision
What you are really choosing between.
Whether the CRM is the system your company runs on, or one of forty applications you would rather have from a single vendor. Both are defensible; buying the wrong one is expensive in opposite directions.
Salesforce and HubSpot
Salesforce and HubSpot
Customer relationship platforms covering marketing, sales, service and increasingly commerce, extended through very large app ecosystems and, in Salesforce’s case, a full development platform.

Zoho One
Zoho Corporation
A bundle of several dozen Zoho applications — CRM, books, inventory, mail, projects, desk and many more — licensed at a single price per employee, with the requirement that every employee is licensed.
Head to head
Where they actually differ.
Only the rows that differ. A comparison table padded with things both products do equally well is a table designed to be long rather than useful.
| Salesforce and HubSpot | Zoho One | |
|---|---|---|
| Depth in sales and marketing | Considerable — forecasting, territories, scoring, sequences, attribution. | Competent, and not the reason anyone buys the bundle. |
| Breadth beyond the funnel | Extends through an ecosystem and, in Salesforce’s case, a development platform. | Dozens of applications included, covering categories the others do not touch. |
| Cost shape | Per seat, per cloud, and it compounds as you add clouds. | One price per employee, with the expectation that every employee is licensed. |
| Who operates it | Often a revenue-operations function, or an admin who does it full time. | An administrator configuring the joins between the applications. |
| Skills market | Very large; you can hire for it. | Large, and more concentrated in some regions than others. |
Which to pick
Real reasons on both sides.
A matchup where one option never wins is not a comparison, and every reader can tell.
Choose Salesforce and HubSpot if…
- Your business is the funnel, and pipeline is the number the board watches
- You have or will hire someone whose job is the CRM
- Marketing automation depth is a requirement rather than a nice-to-have
- You are big enough that the ecosystem and the hiring market are worth the premium
Choose Zoho One if…
- You want breadth from one vendor and will accept configuring it
- The CRM is one of several problems rather than the problem
- One price per employee is easier to budget and defend
- You need applications in its range that the CRM-first vendors do not offer
And now the part where we talk about ourselves
Where Rutba fits, on the same axes.
Constrained to what the comparison above actually examined. If neither product was measured on something, we do not get to win it here.
On breadth we sit with Zoho, and on data model we do not
Zoho One is a bundle of separately-built applications with connectors between them. Rutba is one set of records — the won opportunity is the order, against the stock, on the invoice, in the ledger, without an integration in between.
Against the CRM-first option, the argument is what happens after the deal
A closed opportunity has to become an order somewhere. In a CRM-first stack that transition is a connector somebody maintains, and it is where the errors live.
Where they are both ahead of us
Funnel depth, in Salesforce and HubSpot’s case by a distance we are not going to close — and application count, in Zoho’s. Our own pages for both say so.

The pillar
Rutba vs Salesforce and HubSpot
CRM-first platforms with enormous depth in the funnel. The comparison is about what happens after the deal closes.
The pillar
Rutba vs Zoho One
The closest competitor by bundle economics — a very large number of applications for one per-employee price. The difference is what "one suite" means underneath.
