Raising one moves the quantity out of what can be picked, so the system stops offering it. The hold is a state, not a sticker, and releasing it is an act somebody is recorded as having taken.
Traceability is a join, not a reconstruction
The batch, the materials issued to it, the supplier those came from and the customers it went to are all records in one database. The question that took two days is a query.
The evidence is already assembled
Certificates, photographs and signed acceptances attach to the record they concern. An audit is reading what exists rather than a fortnight of preparation.
