Rutba Drive is running. There is just nowhere to visit it
Folders, versions, sharing, quotas and a published SDK all work today — as the layer underneath Rutba Docs. The standalone interface is not built, so the product is marked coming soon rather than early access.

There is a category of product state that marketing pages have no vocabulary for: the thing is built, it is running in production, other products depend on it — and there is no screen for it, so a customer cannot be said to have it.
That is Rutba Drive today, and rather than pick whichever label flatters us we picked the one that is least likely to disappoint somebody: coming soon.
What is running
- Folders and files with real version history.
- Sharing governed by organisation roles rather than stray links.
- Org-wide storage quotas.
- Content and full-text search across what you can see.
- A published SDK that other products build against.
Every document in Rutba Docs & Sheets is stored here. So is the attachment on a ticket and the file on an order. The service is not theoretical; it is doing the job.
Why not call it early access, then
Because of what a buyer would picture. Somebody reading "early access" on a file storage product pictures opening a browser and seeing their folders. That is exactly the thing that does not exist.
Availability labels are only worth having if they describe the experience rather than the codebase. A label that is technically defensible and practically misleading is the failure mode they exist to prevent.
A product is not what has been built. It is what somebody can open.
The design decision worth stating early
When the interface lands, sharing will be governed by organisation roles rather than by link. That is a real constraint and it is chosen: link-sharing is how a file granted to one contractor in 2023 is still reachable by anyone who kept the URL.
Access granted by role expires when the role does. It is less convenient than a link, and it is the difference between access control and access history.
What to do meanwhile
If you want the documents, Rutba Docs & Sheets is in early access now and stores everything here — you get the storage without the file manager. If you want a file manager, wait, and we will say when.
