A landlord who signs three leases a year and an office that sends forty agreements a month do not need the same plan. Rutba Sign now has four rungs, the first five envelopes each month are free, and every rung costs less an envelope than the one below it.

Electronic signature is usually sold the way office software is: a seat per person, a monthly minimum, and the evidence you actually need held back for the plan above. That suits a legal department. It does not suit the landlord with three leases a year, the consultant who sends a statement of work every month, or the five-person office where everyone occasionally needs a signature and nobody sends many.
So on 22 September, alongside a second price cut across every Rutba plan, Rutba Sign got smaller packages. There are four rungs now.
Four rungs
- Pay as you go. No seat count, no monthly minimum, no card for the first five envelopes each month. After that you are charged per envelope when it is sent — not when it completes — and the rate falls as you send more, without asking.
- Solo. For one person who sends a few agreements a month: a freelancer, a landlord, a consultant. An allowance of envelopes, one sender, and a low rate for each one after.
- Team. For a small office where a handful of people send: one allowance shared by the organisation rather than a seat each, up to five senders, and templates and bulk send for the documents that go out every week.
- Agreements. Signing plus the life of the agreement afterwards: a larger allowance, the agreement calendar with its effective dates, term ends and renewal notices, the agreement manager and the renewal sweep, and formalities — stamps, seals and notaries — declared and tracked per envelope.

Moving up a rung is always a saving
The ladder is built so that no rung is a trap. Each subscription’s allowance costs less an envelope than paying as you go would for the same number, so moving up is always cheaper once you use what it includes. And past any allowance, the rate is at or under the pay-as-you-go volume rate — never a penalty band that punishes a busy month.
A plan that makes a good month expensive is a plan that teaches people to send fewer agreements.
The same evidence on every rung
What does not change between rungs is the thing that makes a signature worth having. Every envelope, on every rung including the free ones, carries the whole workflow and the whole record: the hash-chained evidence, the seal and the timestamp, the forensic evidence pack a court can open without us, and public verification that is free and permanent. The rungs differ in how much you send and what you do with an agreement afterwards — never in whether you can prove it was signed. The signature is the easy part explains why that line is drawn where it is.
And nobody pays to sign. The people you send an agreement to never need an account, a seat, or a card; on every rung, the charge is to whoever sends.
